The who
City West Water (now Greater Western Water).
A Government owned water utility provider in Melbourne, Victoria.
My role
Visual/Graphic Designer
Tools
Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
The request
Various graphic design requests for print and digital collateral for City West Water (CWW), before they joined with Western Water to form Greater Western Water.
Face-to-face services pilot collateral
CWW ran a face-to-face customer service pilot, where CWW service agents were based at Maribyrnong City Council for our customers to speak to in person, as opposed to just over the phone. I designed various collateral for this project (posters, onsite signage and the final findings report).
In the final pilot outcomes report, an engaging way to sprinkle the statistics from the pilot was by creating full-page text-based infographics to break up the report text and images.
Various print documnents
I designed various forms and factsheets that needed updating.
I designed a mid-year report that CWW has to publish to show customers what how they are tracking against outcomes the organisation aims to meet during the year.
Bringing service blueprints to life
After a new service design was finsihed I would bring the blueprints to life as a tool for the organisation to understand how the new service design affects and benefits the customer.
Digital icons
Creating map pins for the CWW outage map. Adding a gradient to these pins helped them feel 3-D like and they now stand out from the map background.
Creating icons for the internal IT Request interface (ServiceNow).
Infographics
Designing graphical ways of communicating to customers where their water bill money goes for social media and the CWW website.
The outcome
My designs were utilised right up until July 2021 when City West Water integrated with Western Water to form a new organisation - Greater Western Water (GWW). At this time, collateral was re-branded to GWW and I moved into a UI/UX Designer specific role.
